Future Career Day between the vault, trading and crypto

News

Yesterday, 20 school pupils spent Future Career Day at Bank Frick. While precious metals can still be found in the vault, the peek behind the scenes of banking in 2025 reveals how safe-busters are becoming crypto-crackers.

Ever done a crypto quiz? This was just one of the activities the 20 young people faced on Future Day at Bank Frick. For the first time, they delved into the world of crypto and blockchain together with Patrik Spiess, Head of Fund and Capital Markets, and Alexander Mayer, Digital Assets Analyst. They explained in an interactive way how money is much more than just coins and banknotes, especially because digital technologies are changing everything.

More than just Bitcoin: 15 digital currencies
Equipped with knowledge of how digital currencies work and the opportunities they create, the school pupils moved on to trading. It was clear from the multiple screens filled with charts and the atmosphere of a trading floor that big money is at stake here. And this increasingly also includes digital money, as Bank Frick now trades 15 leading cryptocurrencies for its clients. “What I enjoy about my work at Bank Frick is how the traditional world of banking meets the exciting possibilities of crypto-assets and digital technology”, explained Senior Trader Raphael Benz.

Between the vault, the IT lab and the “Magnet”
Bank Frick trainees Nico and Luca accompanied the school pupils on Future Day together with HR Manager Andrea Marxer. During a company tour with Facility Manager Antonio Garieri, they visited all our buildings. They even explored the vault, tinkered on computers in the IT lab and got a glimpse of the “Magnet”. This is the name for a former disco in the Balzers industrial zone, which Bank Frick has converted into a place where its employees can meet and relax.
