Sunshine, mud and solidarity: LittleMudRun raises 5,000 Swiss francs for SOS Kinderdorf

News

Glorious sunshine, summery temperatures and plenty of movement: “LittleMudRun 2025” showed itself from its best side last September. At this year’s cheque handover, the participants are all smiles again, as the involvement of around 500 children has resulted in an impressive fundraising outcome.

With great commitment and visible enthusiasm, 500 young participants tackled the varied children’s course with age-appropriate obstacles in autumn 2025, held as part of the Bank Frick LieMudRun. The cheers at the finish line were loud and the excitement was contagious.

“It was impressive to see how much energy and joy the children brought to the event,” says Maike Hilti, Deputy Managing Director of SOS Kinderdorf Liechtenstein and volunteer along the course at the cheque handover. “The beautiful weather gave the atmosphere an extra lift. The fact that such a large amount was raised for children in need at the same time is simply wonderful.”

LittleMudRun is not only about sporting fun, but also about lived solidarity. For every child taking part, the Hindernislauf Liechtenstein association donates five Swiss francs to SOS Kinderdorf Liechtenstein. As main sponsor, Bank Frick doubles this amount, resulting in a total donation of 5,000 Swiss francs.

Support for mothers and their little ones

The donation goes to the mother-and-child programme of SOS Kinderdorf Liechtenstein. The programme is aimed at mothers who suffer from postnatal depression after the birth of their child. It covers the costs of the baby’s or toddler’s stay in the clinic so that mother and child do not have to be separated during this particularly sensitive phase.

The organisers are also proud of the link between sport and social commitment. “LittleMudRun stands for community, movement and responsibility,” emphasises Sandra Wögerer, President of the Hindernislauf Liechtenstein association. “We are very pleased that this event not only gives children an unforgettable experience, but at the same time enables concrete support.”
