Bank Frick wins two Gold Dolphins in Cannes

Press Releases
Bank Frick bags two awards at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2025 with its “Doing things differently” corporate film.

The Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards honour the best corporate films, online media and documentaries. This year, Bank Frick won two Gold Dolphin trophies for “The Bank Frick Story: Doing things differently”. The film convinced the jury twice in the main category of Corporate Films and Videos, including in the prestigious Image Films category. It was jointly produced by Creative Director Martin Fuchs (Picky Martin) and Boutiq Film.

From working out of a garage to blockchain pioneer

The roughly twelve-minute film tells the story of the Liechtenstein bank – and how it developed from an outsider to a pioneer in blockchain banking. But the story goes back to the institution’s early days, when the office was nothing more than an unheated garage. “The film offers an authentic illustration of the passion and courage to keep trying new things and to also occasionally fail. The crucial factor is our speed and the power to transform bold ideas into products and solutions that are ahead of their time,” says CEO Edi Wögerer.

Industrial hall turned into a movie set

The film presents documentary elements staged for the silver screen: no voice-overs, instead employees conveying the spirit of “Doing things differently” and the ideas factory with a banking licence. Shot in an industry hall with a twelve-metre LED wall, the location is a symbol of the bank’s start-up nature that persists to this day. The film premièred in November 2023 to mark Bank Frick’s 25th anniversary.
