Bank Frick extends its sponsorship of the LieMudRun by five years

News
Almost all tickets for this year’s LieMudRun were already sold out. Due to the continued high demand and great popularity of the obstacle run, Bank Frick is extending its sponsorship for another five years.

What began six years ago with 850 brave participants has now become the largest mass sports event in Liechtenstein, with the number of participants since then doubling. This year, around 1,150 adults and 500 children have registered to participate in the obstacle run in Ruggell. There’s an easy answer to the question of what status the LieMudRun enjoys for Bank Frick: it will be sponsoring the sporting event for another five years.

An event that reflects Bank Frick

“The LieMudRun demonstrates what is important to us: team spirit and a collaborative approach. That is exactly what defines our culture at Bank Frick. In short, it reflects who we are as a company,” says Melanie Mündle, a member of the Management Board of Bank Frick. Along the way, participants help each other over various obstacles and reach the finish line together. For the Verein Hindernislauf Liechtenstein, the association that has been organising the LieMudRun since 2019, the sponsorship secures the event for the next five years.

Sponsorship secured until 2030

“Bank Frick’s commitment as the main sponsor and the numerous volunteers are what make it possible for us to organise a grassroots sports event of this magnitude. The support from the general public and tickets that sell out each year is confirmation to us that Liechtenstein wants to keep this event in the future too,” says Sandra Wögerer from OK. The option to choose from three different levels of difficulty across the distances (8 km, 14 km and 20 km) is particularly popular.

Without timekeeping over various obstacles

The routes are set up with numerous obstacles, including mud pits, climbing nets, steep walls and fire jumps. For the five-year anniversary in 2024, there were as many as 72 obstacles to overcome. There is no timekeeping – the fun and the shared experience are what matter most. Children between the ages of six and 13 can take part in the LittleMudRun with distances of two and 3.5 kilometres. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to the SOS Children’s Villages Liechtenstein.
