Bank Frick receives licence and opens branch in Dubai
Bank Frick has received its requested licence from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) for a branch in Dubai. This strengthens its position as a product leader and enables it to tap into the strong growth potential of this financial centre.
Bank Frick is expanding its international presence with a branch in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The licence issued by the competent supervisory authority, the DFSA, authorises the branch to arrange investment business, lending, custody services and financial services for Bank Frick in Liechtenstein. Under the leadership of Stefan Rauti, Head of International Banking Solutions, operations have officially commenced on the 17th floor of the Emirates Financial Towers. Rauti has been working for Bank Frick for 15 years in various management positions.
Branch serves as a bridge to Liechtenstein
In Dubai and the Middle East, Bank Frick serves crypto companies, asset managers, family offices, corporate service providers, fund administrators and other professional clients. The bank will gradually develop the branch as a bridge to Liechtenstein. Besides Stefan Rauti, who recently relocated from Balzers to Dubai, the team is to be actively built over the coming months. In addition to the spirit of innovation in Dubai, the location’s entrepreneurial dynamism offers ideal conditions for the branch.
Bank Frick strengthens its position as a product leader
“Our decision to choose Dubai follows our strategy of further strengthening our position as a product leader, allowing us to contribute our expertise internationally in a targeted manner,” says CEO Edi Wögerer. With the new branch in Dubai, Bank Frick is even closer to its existing clients and can support them more effectively. “At the same time, we are opening up new markets and expanding our network of partnerships,” adds Wögerer.
Market entry into the crypto and blockchain hub
Bank Frick offers products and solutions that are specifically tailored to the needs of crypto companies. Entering the market as a pioneer in blockchain is therefore a logical step: “Dubai is an established and rapidly growing financial market and has also developed into a crypto and blockchain hub. We are delighted to be part of this innovative market – an ideal place and breeding ground for growth and the generation of new ideas,” emphasises Stefan Rauti. The growth rates and trading volumes of recent years have made the United Arab Emirates one of the largest markets for crypto-based assets.
