Bank Frick expands its real time payments offering

News

Bank Frick expands its payment services offering: With SEPA and SIC Instant Payments, real time payments are now available around the clock, 365 days a year. Euro payments can be sent and received in real time, while CHF payments can currently be received in real time.

The service is available both in Bank Frick’s Online Banking and via its API. It is particularly suitable for time critical payments and automated payment processes. Instant payments can also be received via Virtual IBANs.

Euro payments within seconds

SEPA Instant Payments enable real-time euro transfers within the SEPA area. Payments are executed within a maximum of ten seconds, credited to the recipient’s account immediately and processed at weekends and on public holidays. At Bank Frick, a per-transaction limit of EUR 100,000 applies to SEPA Instant Payments. Both the sending and receiving banks must support instant payments.

Receive CHF payments in real time

SIC Instant Payments enable real time payments in Swiss francs within Switzerland’s SIC payment system. Bank Frick currently supports the real-time receipt of CHF payments, provided that the financial institutions involved support instant payments.

Faster payment processing

Instant payments significantly accelerate payment processing. Funds are credited within seconds and are available immediately. For businesses, this means faster access to liquidity, more efficient processes and an improved customer experience. This is particularly relevant for platforms, crypto exchanges, e-commerce providers and digital business models, where the rapid receipt of funds can be crucial.

Retail customers also benefit from greater flexibility: Payments are processed without delay, incoming payments are visible immediately and the timing of payments can be managed more effectively.

‘In an increasingly digital economy, instant payments offer clear added value: businesses gain faster access to liquidity, enabling them to optimise their business processes and improve the customer experience. For digital business models in particular, real-time transfers can therefore become a competitive advantage,’ says Nicolas Marxer, Head of Blockchain Banking Solutions at Bank Frick.
